In Belarus, since January 1, the size of the "base value" will be raised. This figure will grow to 24.5 rubles.
The increase in the "base value" is prescribed in the decree of the Council of Ministers of December 22, 2017 No. 997, the press service of the government reported.
The last time it was raised from January 1, 2017 - from 21 to 23 rubles.
With the growth of the "base", both some payments (benefits, scholarships) and fines increase.
"Base value" is an economic indicator that determines the abstract value of the purchasing power of money, not related to the assessment of specific tangible or intangible benefits.
With an increase in the "base value" will grow:
- One-off allowances for pedagogical, medical and pharmaceutical workers, workers of culture and art, specialists in agriculture and housing and communal services, employees of the consumer cooperation system upon arrival to work in areas contaminated by radioactive contamination as a result of the Chernobyl accident;
- financial assistance for improvement of certain categories of citizens;
- Monthly cash payments to citizens who have the honorary title "People's";
- Prizes and scholarships of the President of Belarus;
- allowances, scholarships and financial assistance to the unemployed;
- reimbursement of expenses to out-of-town students for hiring;
- minimum rates of royalties;
- a one-off fee for employees of organizations that are going down under water for the performance of their official duties;
- other payments.
