On November 26, a business delegation from Switzerland, which included owners and top managers of large Swiss companies, came to Minsk in order to establish and expand trade, economic and investment cooperation with Belarusian business.
The delegation started their business trip with the visit to the plant for the production of railway vehicles "Stadler Minsk", which is part of the Swiss company "Stadler Rail AG". "Stadler Minsk" is a resident of the free economic zone "Minsk" and is located near the city of Fanipol, in the promising territory of FEZ "Minsk".
The Swiss businessmen were welcomed by Philip Brunner, Chairman of “Stadler Minsk”, and Dmitry Rudchenko, Chairman of FEZ Minsk administration, who gave the presentation of the free economic zone “Minsk” to the delegation and highlighted the advantages and prospects of doing business under unique economic regulations of FEZ using the example of “Stadler Minsk”.
Mr. Brunner then introduced the production to the guests. After that, the delegation from Switzerland, according to the Program, visited the Chinese-Belarusian industrial Park and the High-tech Park.
In the afternoon, a plenary session of the Belarusian-Swiss Business Council was held in the conference hall of the MARRIOTT hotel, during which the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Turchin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Stadler Rail AG Peter Spuhler and other participants of the meeting spoke. After the plenary session, the Swiss and Belarusian participants were able to exchange views and discuss issues of mutually beneficial cooperation.
