A meeting of the leaders of the free economic zones of Belarus was held at the FEZ "Minsk" office. During the meeting, the Council of FEZ Administrations Heads was established.
The Council is called upon to coordinate the work on developing the image of the Belarusian FEZs and provides for the joint development of a plan to improve the efficiency of the functioning of free economic zones, the organization of educational programs, seminars, conferences to find effective ways to interact with international business circles and targeted promotion of national and regional branding.
“Today, new approaches are needed in the FEZ work, and we have come up with an initiative to create a Council of Heads of Administrations of Free Economic Zones of Belarus,” said Anatoly Buben, the FEZ “Minsk” head. “I am sure that such a format of cooperation will help increase the efficiency in the implementation of the tasks assigned to us to attract investment in the country's economy, use new opportunities and overcome negative trends in the current economic conditions.”
Recall that the need to strengthen work with investors and coordinate the activities of Belarusian FEZs was also discussed at the conference "Modern Challenges and New Approaches in the FEZs Work", which was held in Mogilev on October 4-5 this year. The participants considered ways to overcome the negative consequences of sanctions restrictions, directions for industrial cooperation, measures to stimulate investment activity and enter alternative export markets.
