Logistics. Republic of Belarus being situated between the European Union and Russian Federation, having high motor and railroad traffic capacity, has all preconditions for raising of transit traffic by surface modes of transport and is objectively called to play the role of the transport bridge between West and East.

Necessity to optimize the cargo delivery by transportation facilities and reduce expenses on cargo operations means the formation of the transport and logistic system in the republic.

Transport and logistic centers will be created on the basis of existing terminals and due to construction of new modern logistic complexes.

According to the Program of development of logistic system of the Republic of Belarus till 2015 it is planned to build 3 logistic centers in the territory of free economic zone “Minsk”.

The complex will include storage area, intermodal terminals, administration area, roadside service area, utility area, exhibition and sale area, etc., that is everything which is necessary to organize the full complex of transport services, automate the process of cargo flows control and arrange other services associated with cargo transportation.

In Obchak area the investment project of FE “BLT-Logistic” “Creation of the outsourcing center in FEZMinsk” is being implemented. The center will render the full range of logistic services.

In the territory of the National airport “Minsk” it is planned to build international, multimodal transport and logistic center which will include customs and terminal complex, information and logistic center, business-center, etc. Creation of the center will encourage economic development and increase of the airport traffic, make it one the largest aircraft centers in the international transport logistic network of Europe, coordinate work of different modes of transport, focus international air, motor and railroad flows through Belarus.
